Part-time Assistant Accountant

There’s a lot of exciting growth ahead and we are now seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our fast-growing, family-friendly, tech company on Auckland’s North Shore.

The Growth Collective Limited provides two well-known brands, Kindo and ezlunch, that simplify NZ family life. Since 2010 we’ve grown to serve over 300 schools and thousands of families, with online services to collect orders, payments and donations for anything family-school related, from healthy lunches, to sports registrations, to donations and uniform sales.

You will be responsible for AP & AR, payroll, GST, month end, paying school bonuses, reconciliations and other financial tasks. You will ensure all statutory obligations are met, and employees, contractors and suppliers are paid on time with supporting documentation.

This is a part time role working 25 hours per week and will commence in December to ensure a good handover.

You will be driven, detail-oriented, organised and get on well within a team environment. Entirely reliable, trustworthy and system-oriented, you understand the importance of good financial management and systems and love to work with others to create improvements.

Part-time Financial Controller

We are now seeking a CA qualified and experienced Financial Controller to take up the reigns as our Accountant retires from this role after 9 years.

The Financial Controller will be jointly responsible with the CEO for the overall financial health of the company. Presenting monthly accounts, managing cashflow, forecasting and budgeting, managing funds and investments, assisting with capital raises, shareholder and board reporting, implementing best practice systems and procedures, approving payments and project work.

You will ensure Health & Safety obligations are managed. You will also have management responsibilities for some team members.

Experience in capital raising, shareholder responsibilities and financial markets would be beneficial as would a proven track record in managing growth.

Accuracy is essential and you will manage processes to ensure system errors are identified before they affect customers, as well as answer customer enquiries relating to financial matters.

You will:
* Have proven experience as a Financial Controller and be CA qualified
* Be driven, detail-oriented, organised and get on well within a team environment.
* Be entirely reliable, trustworthy and system-oriented
* Understand the importance of good financial management and systems and love to work with others to create improvements.
